Why
Sixone

Building the future of material recovery.

The world has become incredibly good at making products. Now it must become equally good at recovering the materials inside them.

AI meets
chemistry

01

Sixone’s Proprietary Process

By utilising AI to generate 'chemical fingerprints' and forecast recycling outcomes, Sixone's platform selectively recovers polyester from complex garments.

02

Data Extraction and Analysis

Advanced sensors gather detailed chemical fingerprint data from textiles, which are then analysed against our materials database.

03

Recipe Recommendations

Proprietary machine learning algorithms generate predictive results and recommend the optimal reaction conditions.

04

Targeted Reactions

Polyester monomers are selectively extracted from clothing blends and repolymerised into pellets for reincorporation into production.

Our Story

We believe the future depends on recovering more value from the resources we already have.

As demand for materials continues to grow, so too does the importance of using those resources more intelligently.

We exist to solve the challenge of value recovery from waste, helping industries uncover the valuable materials that already exist around them and keeping those resources in productive use for longer.

AI-powered recovery that turns complex waste back into valuable materials for the global supply chain.

Our mission

To create solutions that detect, recover and return value from waste, powering the next generation of circularity.

We are not restricted to pure polyester

We are constantly researching and building our materials database with new blends to develop targeted reaction recipes to optimise polyester extraction. We embrace the complexity and welcome different fibre compositions and finishes.

Beyond Textiles

Textiles are only the beginning

The intelligence developed by Sixone has the potential to support material recovery across automotive, electronics, packaging, consumer products and future industries where valuable materials remain locked inside complex waste.

Our ambition is to become the intelligence layer behind the future of global material recovery. Our end goal is to create a future where intelligent recovery enables materials to remain in continuous use, reducing our reliance on virgin resources and powering the next generation of circular manufacturing.

LEADERSHIP

Sixone brings together expertise across artificial intelligence, chemistry, engineering and circular economy innovation.

We are a team of seasoned scientists, engineers, and business professionals who believe that advancing scientific knowledge of plastic waste is vital for securing a sustainable future on our planet. We have built a place where people can work in a dynamic environment that continually pushes the boundaries.

Christopher Wai

Co-Founder, CEO

Chris has spent 20 years across textile manufacturing, software startups, venture capital and consulting. That range gives him a rare read on how industrial systems actually change, and he's applying it to rebuild the economics of textile waste at Sixone.

Jin Suntivich

Co-Founder, CTO

Jin spent over a decade as a tenured professor at Cornell, running a research group focused on interface science and materials that react at the surface level. He trained at MIT, Northwestern and Harvard, and now applies that depth in surface chemistry to make textile recycling technically possible.
